We're thrilled to be partnering with the Health Improvement Commission to make it easier for parents on Island to create healthy lunch options for their children. We want to help make it easier for parents to ensure their children are eating well and staying healthy.
Our aim is to support children’s health and help them thrive. By eating healthy foods, children have the fuel they need to focus and learn throughout the school day.
Providing a nutritious lunch doesn't have to be challenging or costly to make, we've teamed up and put together a list of ingredients, recipes and top tips that will help give your children everything they need so that they're ready to learn in school and can grow to their full potential.
As part of our lunchbox heroes partnership, the Health Improvement Commission are recommending a fantastic list of products that can be turned into tasty packed lunches. Ideally, for a nutritionally balanced lunch the goal is for each lunch to include one fruit, one veg, one dairy, one protein and one carbohydrate item. Please see the list of recommendations below:
